Paul Cecchettini, Ed.D.
As a licensed psychologist my mission is to create a safe environment for you to be able to talk, reflect, develop and grow so that you can reach your desired goals. I will strive to ensure you receive the care you deserve during out time together. My approach is to listen, find out what you want and need, and work together on deciding the path to follow. I am integrative in my approach and will shift my interventions to best to assist you in working toward your goals. Creating a safe place is important for the success of therapy as it allows for someone to feel they can express themselves, their thoughts and their feelings openly and honestly. Through empathy, connection, maintaining a non-judgmental stance and at times using humor, I am able to help guide people to reaching their goals.
I have worked with youth, young adults and adults, and have focused my expertise in working with teens and young adults. I have extensive experience in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety and the interpersonal and intrapersonal challenges that can evolve, such as low self-esteem, difficulties with relationships, and overwhelming fears. I also have experience working with individuals who have significant mental health issues as well.
I recognize that reaching out to someone for help can be a bit scary and this is the first hurdle in overcoming what may be challenging for you. I would be happy to discuss with you how I may be of assistance and look forward to talking with you. I am available for a free 15-minute consultation.
I am integrative in my approach and work to shift my interventions and approach to best suite your needs and therapeutic goals. I draw from different approaches including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, relational, and humanistic. My focus is on building a safe trusting environment for you to discuss youth thoughts, feelings, actions and beliefs and support you in reaching your goals.
